The moments I live for

It’s been such an amazing year since our babygirl blessed us with her presence, seriously can’t believe how fast a year has gone by.

It has been a trying but most of all a rewarding year for us. We have grown as husband and wife and work so well together as parents. We love watching our girl grow and learn new things. She’s so funny and will certainly keep you busy.

Here’s a few events that have happened from birth to date:

Someone wanted to be almost 2 weeks late so I had to be induced. Motherhood in the raw, catheter and all. Pretty sure this was after 11 hours of labor with no epidural…I got the epidural at the last minute.

Stay tuned for her 1st birthday and Halloween Blog!

Zoe is almost 1

Woah! Our babygirl is turning 9 months old at the end of this month! 9 months!!! Which means she’s almost 1, which means we have to start planning her 1st birthday party. A Halloween costume party is the plan for now since her birthday is 4 days before Halloween. Can’t wait to do her cake smash photo shoot and Fall family photo shoot! Fall is the best time!

Zoe is amazing, such a smart little human! She’s determined to walk, she talks all the time, tries new things, and has NO FEAR! They say when your baby advances this fast that they’re moving out of the way for the next baby, and while that may be true, we still plan to wait until she’s at least 2 until we have another baby.

Parenthood is so rewarding, we have learned so much in just 8 1/2 months and we still have so much to learn. We make a great team! I have the best partner to be living this life with and I thank God for that. We truly are blessed. Time really flies when you’re living life with the ones you love. I sure do love the life we have.

Our life isn’t perfect, and that’s ok. We have the whole world and the best is yet to come for The Hafens.

Let it go

All to often we hold onto things we can’t change. That disturbs our peace.

Let it go, whatever it is. Just let it go. Your peace is more important.

Whatever you’re going through, whatever is bothering you, just let it go.

Forgive others, but because they deserve it, but because you deserve peace.

No one is perfect, we all have our shit.

So just let it go.

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27

Keep it real

All is well in the Hafen household

Zoe is growing and learning new things everyday, still sleeping through the night in her own room in her crib, just started round 2 of teething, and she will be 8 months in a few days. She will be walking before we know it! it’s time to start planning her 1st birthday! 🤗

Dad is working hard as always, staying fit, being the best husband and father there is, I couldn’t be more proud of him!

I am staying busy every hour of the day (besides when I’m sleeping, which I Am so thankful to have a baby who sleeps through the night!) working full time, mom-ing, wife-ing, working on my fitness goals, cruising through summer school, and bracing myself for fall semester. Can’t wait to finish my degree! 📚👩🏽‍💻

We work so hard and want only the best for our ever growing family, it will all pay off in due time. Trust the process.

So much goes on in our everyday lives, you think social media is enough to stay in touch with family or friends but that’s not true at all, you grow apart from those you once spent a lot of time with, you realize who’s being genuine and who’s just putting on a show or faking the situation, it’s a shame that the people we thought would always be there could feel so far away, those that never check on you or just call to ask how your child is doing. When someone feels obligated to do something instead of just doing it. It’s sad. I refuse to put myself or my family in anymore uncomfortable positions. If it’s fake, I don’t want it. No part of it. My family (my husband, daughter, and dogs) are what’s important right now, and our future babies to come. So damn Tired of the fake love. So if you’re here, thank you. If you’re not, so long!

And if you have to question whether this is about you or not then maybe you just might be the problem.

in the end, WE ALL WE GOT!

College Goals & Career Path for the working Mother

It feels great to be back in school!!!!

This time around I have a lot more motivation keeping me focused. When I was first in school I was one of those college students that decided to “take a break”, and “discover who I am” and I don’t regret it one bit!

During that break I met my now husband who I’ve shared so many wonderful experiences with, and then our babygirl came into our lives. The plan was to ALWAYS go back to school, no matter when that was, but the focus was much clearer.

Currently enrolled at CSN where I will finish my AAS with a focus in Business Administration and then move on to a University to obtain my Bachelors in Business Administration. It took me a while to figure out exactly what I wanted to get my degree in but after consulting with my husband and looking at all my years of experience (Almost 8 years) in administrative positions it only makes sense to obtain a degree in Business Admin. I’m excited and can’t wait to finish!

You see, not everyone has the same career plan, life plan, want or desire. I know that with determination, time management and the motivation of my family I will meet my goals.

I am a woman of faith, courage and ambition!

With God, all things are possible!

A working Mother & Wife ❤️

Finishing my Degree!

My video sums up pretty much everything I want to say about being back in school, but I would like to add a few things.

  • Don’t hate on anyone who decides to go back to school
  • Don’t hate on someone that is going to school for the first time.
  • Don’t hate on someone that wants to better themselves or their future.
  • Jealousy is a serious disease

I’m damn proud of deciding to get back in school, especially 7 months after having a baby! You better believe I’m motivated and will get this done. Be happy for me or don’t, your approval isn’t needed. I’m living my best life and it’s only getting better.

The best is yet to come!

So if you’re in school or if your pursuing another career field to benefit your future then you do you and get it done! We all have to put the work in! Be proud, and get that shit done!

Set a goal, act on it, and complete it!

Parenthood…7 months in

We have a 7 month old you guys!!!! 7 months!

Time has just flashed right before our eyes. It seems like just yesterday we were new parents, bringing our babygirl home for the first time, and learning how to care for a newborn. and now she’s 7 months! She is just full of life, learning something new everyday, mimicking mommy and daddy, babbling and we are pretty sure she’s already said “Da Da”. She is just a joy, we feel so blessed to be her parents.

(Sometimes nap time looks like this, safe, secure, and comfortable)

She’s mastered the army crawl, and is almost confident with a normal hand and knee crawl. She’s begun to pull herself up and is fully self efficient with feeding herself.

She loves her furry siblings and has this adorable belly laugh.

We will surely give her a brother or sister in the near future, but we plan on waiting until she’s at least 2 to start that process.

For now we will just enjoy watching our babygirl grow and learn new things. There seriously is no greater feeling than being a mother or father.

We are so blessed!
